Dr. John N. Jacobs was not a person who was a big part of Doylestown during his lifetime, but in his death.
He was a doctor who served the community of Lansdale for most of his life. He was the first Lieutenant in Company M of the 8th Pennsylvania Calvary during the civil war.
He was involved in Real Estate, Financial Institutions and the Railroad. He was one of the earliest Doctors to setup an “annex” office, with worldly wealth in life afforded him a large family mausoleum in Doylestown Cemetery where he will lay for eternity.
