Henry Abiah and Miriam James were part of the wealthy and influential part of Doylestown in the early part of the 1900’s Henry was schooled in Doylestown and became an attorney, involved with lots of business transactions of the town.
Miriam was also schooled in Doylestown but actually never held a paying job. Henry and Miriam however gave back to the community.
Mr. James had been Doylestown school director, president of Doylestown Fire Company, No 1, Mrs. James was very involved with the VIA, DAR, American Red Cross and Doylestown Nature Club.
